Book Review: The Indispensable Youth Pastor by DeVries & Dunn-Rankin

Land, love, and lock in your youth ministry dream job.

The Indispensable Youth Pastor is a great book providing insights for all volunteer, part-time, or full-time youth workers alike.

The two authors provide practical insight that is extremely easy to apply to your own ministry in whatever season that you are currently in.

If you are a hurting youth worker, this book is for you! There are some great encouraging words shared that will lift your spirits, and give you a better understanding into why you may be hurting.

The book is split into 3 sections: How to Land the Youth Ministry Job You’ll Love, How to Lock In Your Youth Ministry Dream Job, and How to Love Your Youth Ministry Job. You can really pick and read a section based on where your ministry is at. And you can always come back to them! The whole book doesn’t need to be read to grab some insights!

The chapters are short, with valuable, true stories that any youth worker can relate with. And they cover a wide variety of topics within each respective section.

This was a very enjoyable read for myself with some valuable nuggets that I was able to take away from the book.

If you are a youth worker in any form or capacity, don’t miss this book!

5 out of 5.
